Living without Me is Death - Krishnamurti
Question: If living without Me is a death then, If ' I ' is not there then how will our life be?
Answer: To experience death while alive is to understand the truth of all the desires, hopes, longings, lusts, delusions for which the human being lives his entire life and then renounce them completely.
Such a life is not monotonous.
For example: What will life be like after giving up alcohol after realizing the truth that drinking alcohol is harmful to health?
After realizing the truth that meat-eating is harmful to the natural balance, what would life be like after abstaining from meat-eating?
After realizing the truth that all addictions are injurious to health, what will life be like after abandoning them all?
Such a life is actually the real life and it can be easily lived.
Our ' I ' thought and His thoughts about desires, hopes, longings, lusts, delusions are all the same, they are just thoughts, they are not real.
The experiencer (I) and his experiences (desire, hope, passion, lust, delusion) are one and the same.
All religions, saints, sects, scriptures, gurus have made the delusional assumption that ' I ' is the soul. So the whole human race has become so confused that they think that after self-realization, their lusts will be automatically calmed down. But until then everyone remains attached to their lust in order to calm them down!!! Because of this ignorance, it is impossible to understand the simple Truth that I am the lust and the lust is me.
When one realizes that the observer is the observed, the self and its lusts dies. After psychological death, physical life becomes simple, meaningful, free from all illusions.
