Consciousness
Teachings of Krishnamurti can be understood very clearly from latest discovery about consciousness.
Krishnamurtis teachings is added by me in brackets to understand meaning of both.
“In a nutshell, our theory is that consciousness developed as a memory system (contents of consciousness is consciousness, is past, is memory) that is used by our unconscious brain (nothingness?) to help us flexibly and creatively imagine the future and plan accordingly. (ignoring what-is, we imagine what-should-be).
What is completely new about this theory is that it suggests we (our I) don’t perceive the world, make decisions, or perform actions directly. Instead, we do all these things unconsciously (INTELLIGENCE) and then—about half a second later (consciousness is the past) —consciously remember doing them. (thought is response of memory. Experience creates knowledge in memory).
We knew that conscious processes (thoughts, concepts, ideas) were simply too slow to be actively involved in creativity like music, paintings, sports, and other activities where split-second reflexes are required. But if consciousness is not involved in such processes (when there is no center/I), then a better explanation of what consciousness does was needed. (then there is creation born out of nothing).
This theory, according to the researchers, is important because it clarifies how all of our choices and actions, which we mistakenly believe were made consciously (i) —are actually made unconsciously (intelligence), since our conscious mind (past memories) is not in charge of our actions (what-is).
Even our thoughts are not generally under our conscious control.
(observer I and thoughts he observed are not different but i thought separates itself and tries to control thoughts, cant do that, because they are not separate but are same, observer is the observed).
This lack of control is why we (I thought) may have difficulty stopping a stream of thoughts running through our head as we’re trying to go to sleep, and also why mindfulness is hard", adds Budson.
Budson and his coauthors consider a number of neurologic, psychiatric, and developmental disorders to be disorders of consciousness. (consciousness is disorder, realisation of this fact is order).
