Turning point
Turning point is to inquire into the movement of the Thoughts.
Why do we have to investigate the movement of thought?
Because the thought is responsible for all the contents of consciousness. If you have no thought then there would be no fear, no sense of pleasure, no Time.
Thought is responsible for marvelous architecture in the world, all the great paintings, poems, music, sports etc. Thought is responsible for all the Gods, the saviours, the gurus, followers in the world. Everyone thinks, from poorest villagers to the chief executives or the religious heads, all are thinking. Thought is the common factor of all mankind. Now humans cannot escape from thoughts.
Thoughts had invented great technological things like medicines, communications, transportation but has also created division of man and caused great destruction, cruelty, wars and terrors.
So we must understand the nature and the movement of the thought. We all should know the exact nature and very structure of thought.
Thinking is the response of memory, if there is no memory then there is no thinking. The Content of consciousness is our Memory and memory is stored in the brain as knowledge. Knowledge comes from experience. This is how our brain operates.
First experience, then knowledge, knowledge is stored in the memory, and from memory thought arises. From thoughts we act, from that action we learn, and we repeat this same cycle.
Who Am I?
Response of memory is our ' I ' thought. He sustains himself by creating more concepts, ideas, relationships, feelings, fear, security.
This I thought is the real observer which our past masters misjudged as self, soul, spirit, Atman etc. This observer can only experience the past knowledge stored in memory. He being part of memories, which is the past, can never experience anything in real time. Observer I is the part of memory and knowledge which he experiences is also stored in memory, so both observer and observed are parts of memory, hence they both are one.
(If one understand this then only he can understand JK).
Thinking is mechanically being programmed in our structure. This is the movement of thought.
Thought is never free because it is based on past knowledge and knowledge is always limited. Because knowledge is part of time. Anything that is limited creates division to demand more. This demand creates corruption and conflicts.
So movement of thought is based on time, knowledge, action. And in this cycle we live. We struggle to live and die in these conflicts.
Now we cannot stop thinking but we can understand the nature of thoughts and havoc it has created.
Right perception is the right action.
